Meet Klavs
I've been using Linux on my work servers since 1998, but not on my desktop before year 2000. For many years, I had Windows installed on the computer as well (dual boot), so that I could choose which operating system I wanted to use. In the beginning I didn't always find a program on Linux that suited my needs, so I sometimes booted in Windows to perform a certain task. After a while of running Linux, I found I felt constrained when using Windows (especially the lack of multiple desktops :) and for many years now, I have used nothing but Linux.
Depending on my needs and spare time, I have used distributions such as Gentoo, Debian Sid (unstable), Debian Stable, Mandrake and now Kubuntu (I have no spare time any more, and it just works and fits my needs :) on my Desktop computers.
